Community Gardens in Regina

I'm interested in seeing more local food production from within the city of Regina. From raising a couple backyard chickens for eggs, to buying meat from a Saskatchewan farmer, to growing some rows of potatoes, there are all kinds of things Regina's citizens can do to eat more healthy food, and support the local economy.

Fresh From B.C.!

:) I have recently moved to Swift Current from Hornby Island, B.C to take care of family. During my time on Hornby Island, I had the opportunity to work with a local organic farmer ( Elaine Savoie) and learn firsthand a bit about organic farming. I would like to continue my education here in Saskatchewan by getting in touch with any local food producers in the area and conducting a series of interviews, which, hopefully, will then be published in the local media.

mapping local food in Saskatchewan

Hello;

While visiting in Boulder, I've become much more acquainted with google
maps. So, I've started a map of local food in Saskatchewan. Far from
complete, but I would appreciate any and all feedback!

Two hives and planning to get bigger

I purchased two nucs last spring and had about 50 lbs of honey last fall. One hive died this spring but the other one is doing OK. I am interested in chatting with other Saskatchewan Honey Producers that are in it as a hobby or business. I am planning on purchasing one or more nucs this spring. I am located west of Melville SK and purchased my two nucs from Howland Honey by Yorkton.
